Tectum Developers Corner – September Week 2 Update

Tectum is excited to introduce a new weekly post – Developers Corner, and we are starting with the September Week 2 update. This is a medium through which we keep members of our community up to date on developments and plans for the week.
People do not often see the background developments while things are in progress. As such, they often conclude that the team is not doing anything. To change that perception and make everyone appreciate the grooming stage, we are issuing this update.

Highlights of the Tectum Developers Corner September Week 2

Here’s what our dedicated developers have been working on:
  • API Methods for SoftNote Integration: The team is vigorously developing APIs to seamlessly integrate SoftNote Bills into various platforms. We are targeting Centralized and Decentralized Exchanges, blockchain wallets, currency exchange companies, banks, online casinos, and gaming rewards. The aim is to create a product that is as localized as possible.
  • Tech Support Resolution: With the API soon to be integrated into multiple platforms, the demand for SoftNote Bills will be higher. In this regard, our team is diligently addressing all tech support issues to ensure that people have a seamless experience. We are working on the system overseeing migration from the T12 protocol to and from ERC20.
  • Security Tasks: Tectum is conducting comprehensive testing to identify and address vulnerabilities in our blockchain consensus mechanisms. This preparation is essential for the upcoming community nodes and staking features. We want to make our network even more secure.
  • SoftNote Webpages Update: We’re updating our pages in preparation for an upcoming expansion. In little or no time, we will be migrating to Tectum.blockchain, Tectum.labs, Tectum.launchpad, SoftNote.vault, and SoftNote Pay.
  • Design Enhancements: We’re focusing on the design elements for our seed phrase-based wallet. Furthermore, the developers are also editing the ePOS interface for merchants and integrating wallet components for services like Metamask. Once the integration is complete, we will release a tutorial on how people can add the T12 network to their wallet and enjoy zero gas fees.
  • Private Key Section in Wallet: We’re integrating a new section in the SoftNote wallet that allows users to download private keys for all wallets integrated into the SoftNote interface.

Bug Fixes and Other Enhancements

Besides the new addition, Tectum is also introducing other enhancements to existing products and features in our ecosystem. Below are some of these modifications:

  • NPM Package Development: Improvements are still ongoing on our JavaScript NPM package for front-end components. This package will serve as the foundation for third-party developers looking to build on the fastest blockchain in the world.
  • Fixing Bugs Affecting The Minting and Filling of SoftNote Bills: We’re working on resolving any bugs related to minting and filling SoftNote Bills. We will be focusing specifically on BTC, ETH, USDT, and TRX since they are our current offerings.
  • Component Compatibility: To ensure that people can use the SoftNote wallet in all Tectum products, the team is ensuring compatibility. We believe that enabling people to manage their assets in one place will greatly endear them to us.
  • VPN Improvements: Our team is actively addressing issues with our native VPN to enhance security and reliability. This comes after recent complaints by users.

That is all for the Tectum Developers Corner September Week 2 Update. See you next week. Our users should anticipate more exciting announcements.
