Meanwhile, the total number of people holding blockchain tokens is 420 million. These impressive numbers emphasize the fact that there are more women in the crypto industry than ever before.
As we celebrate the International Women’s Day on the 8th of March, Tectum is using this opportunity to recognize female achievers in the Web3 sector. Without further ado, here are women who are breaking bounds in the crypto industry:

Layah Heilpern – Journalist and Head of The Layah Heilpern Show: An ardent lover of blockchain technology and Bitcoin advocate. Layah is a journalist w. She boasts significant experience of the industry and goes the extra mile to bring authentic news. She also has her own show – The Layah Heilpern Show, where she is the host.
Meltem Demirors – Chief Strategy Officer of Coinshares: An experience executive who joined the blockchain space from the Oil and Gas sector about a decade ago. She has overseen the acceleration of various startups and the growth of various assets.

Caitlin Long – Chairman of WyoHackaton: A longstanding advocate of blockchain and Bitcoin since 2012. Before becoming the chairman of WyoHackaton, she co-founded the Wyoming Blockchain Coalition – an association dedicated towards educating Wyoming citizens about blockchain and cryptocurrencies.
Women in Blockchain: A World of Limitless Opportunities
As shown above, there are no limits as to what women can achieve within the industry. Anyone (including a woman) who has the skills and dedication can reach beyond the sky. While Web3 is often portrayed by people as some complex, the industry is like every other sector. There are both tech and non-tech roles available to interested individuals.
Several of the women who are leaders in Crypto were once working in other industries. This goes to show that there are transferrable skills from other sectors that apply to blockchain. For example, a regular accountant can become a crypto accountant with additional learning. While this is a tech industry, there are still essential operational procedures that require administrative individuals.
Transferable skills also apply to the tech positions, as the programming languages used in developing blockchain have been in existence for as long as memory serves. Solidity, Python, Java, Rust, JavaScript, PHP, C++, C# are some languages used in writing the code for a decentralized network. Anyone with experience writing these codes can land a job in crypto.
